We have the best playground equipment around. We just love to “hang” around our school.

At this school children are encouraged to:
¨ strive to achieve mastery of the curriculum areas
¨ develop a respect for the school, staff and each other
¨ develop positive attitudes towards physical and cultural activities
¨ develop self-discipline and demonstrate a willingness to complete set tasks and to value their work
¨ develop problem-solving, decision-making and critical-thinking skills.

Our computer lab has 13 new computers and each classroom has its own bank of computers.

A comprehensive curriculum is offered which gives a high priority to Literacy and Numeracy. Curriculum is based on the eight Key Learning Areas as set out in the Curriculum Standards Framework and specialist areas of Computer and Technology, Library, The Arts, Physical Education and Indonesian are offered. The school has a purpose built library, a computer lab with a bank of 13 computers and a printer to compliment those in the classrooms, a multipurpose Art room and a stadium.
Special programs including Reading Recovery are available to all children who need assistance (both under-achieving and gifted children). To enrich our learning program, modern resources and equipment are used, our teaching program is progressive and our staff experienced and dedicated. Class sizes are small to enable individual attention.
The present school, built in 1940, is set in expansive, well-maintained and equipped grounds including a newly resurfaced sports oval. The School Council is continually improving the school’s buildings and grounds to provide the best possible environment for our children. New Reverse cycle air conditioners are located in each of the classrooms, the staff room and the general office.
Parents and staff recognise the importance of continuing communication and co-operation as they strive to develop a strong sense of partnership in the education of the children of this community. The school has established itself as an Information Technology Centre providing the school community with computer classes and internet access. Infrastructure funding is being sought to refurbish the library as a community access centre.
Parents and community members are a vital
part of the school’s daily life and are welcome to visit and assist in our
school at any time.
