Welcome to 2010. The start of a new decade presents lots of opportunities for all of us as we start the new school year. We have 10 new prep students starting on Monday Feb 1st and I know that they are all excited about starting their schooling. It is exciting that this year we will also have quite a few new families to the school and we hope that they will enjoy the time they share with all of us. Prep parents, and any others who are interested, are invited to join me for a cuppa after assembly on Monday 1st. Traditionally this has been called our "Tears and Tissues" morning tea but I have found there are very few tears and lots of laughs to be had at this time.
Swimming is happening this term and I encourage parents to ensure that children's clothing is named and that students come prepared with everything they need. On very hot days I also encourage parents to send along frozen water bottles so that students have plenty to drink.
There will be more undercover outdoor areas this year and hopefully students will take advantage of these in hot and wet weather.
The builders are still on site so please ensure that you use the small gate .
